So hey everyone I'm here just doing a quick review of this Toshiba portable air-conditioning unit it's the RAC pd0811CRU I got it at Home Depot today you know I wanted to be able to cool this room here I have a room that pretty much a converted garage you know not too large this thing says 250 square feet this room is about 200 square feet and as you can see what I did here is I connected I kind of made a cuz I have a sliding door here and this comes with a connector to put into a window as you can see for example there it's meant fora window but I don't have a window so what I did was I kind of raked you know this tall piece of board which is kind of weatherproof and closed and sealed it so pretty much the unit could go outside and it's got some great controls here you can kind of you know control everything right from here I have it set in stand like that stay mode where you can also have this thing going up and down but I mean I'm feeling it right now it's pretty cold I put it on the coldest right now I wanted to start with like 72but I guess this room you know probably takes a little while to cool so it does come with this remote control so you know you can use it from far other than that I mean I feel comfortable in here because this room has a mini-split a/which I left off and it can get pretty warm in here so I'm testing the unit out it's been on for about an hour or so Imean the room feels comfortable it's not really ice cold as you can see there's a hurricane happening right now the largest in history are at king durian this is why I got this so in case I lose power this is the room that I want to keep my family where at least we can be comfortable with air Stacy I do have a generator that I would use outside right now I'm just using the power.

because I don't I still have electricity and pretty much you know just have this connection so we can at least be comfortable while there's no a/c until connected but I mean there were units pretty good it's not too loud you can even put it on low fan and it'll be quieter you know I do hear a slight rattle but nothing crazy other then that I mean this door gets hit by the Sun in the afternoon so we get a lot of heat so ideally in a real scenario I would actually cover this whole door area with like a black tarp outside if a storm passed to block any heat or sunlight to come through so it can at least insulate the room as best as possible but I mean it's comfortable in here I'm gonna come back in a few hours just to check it butI'm sure after a little while, this will have cooled off the room so I mean if you want to post any questions you can most likely I'll end up keeping the unitI'm gonna test it. I mean later todayI'll see how well it does and I'm sure at night obviously it's gonna cool the room better but as long as it keeps us comfortable I'm gonna be happy to have this unit so if you have any questions just let me know I mean this unit can extend so for the vent you can actually expand that you know pretty long I didn't really need to expand it too much but that's pretty much it so so far it seems okay I mean I'm not fully impressed completely yet right I was hoping this thing would really start cooling this small room well but it's doing the job and maybe because its first time maybe this unit has to you know pull out all the humidity and moisture in the air init once it gets to its cool temperature than you know it'll keep the room cold.
